After 3 years of experience in social security institutions, Thomas DE NYS started his career as a lawyer on January the 1th 2004 at VANDERVEEREN & Partners, rue des Minimes 41, where he became partner.

​

He worked for 20 years together with  Stafhouder Me Pascal VANDERVEEREN (16.03.1946 - 24.8.2023) on high level and complex criminal cases (ex. Subprime crisis, Dieselgate).

​

On the 1st of August 2024, the association MINIMES41 joined LEXLITIS BRUSSELS.

​

Thomas has succeeded in the 4 year formation to the cassation procedure in civil and criminal matters (art. 478, al. 2 of the Belgian civilian procedural code).

​

Since 2016, he teaches procedural law for the advocate-trainees (CAPA lessons for the Frenchspeaking Bar of Brussels)

​

Thomas had the honor of being the Speaker of the Brussels Bar's Solemn opening of the judicial year on January the 17h, 2025.

​

He also has the honor of being deputy judge since April 2025 at the Brussels Labourjurisdiction.

​

Thomas will put all his experience in the defense of your case, both in criminal procedures as in civil ones.
